Minutes passed, the door swung open and revealed someone with a black hoodie and track pants soaked in rain. I could tell it was a woman based on her petite figure. Despite being soaked, she hurried to the counter ignoring her wet strides left on the floor. 'God, I just mopped it 30 minutes ago.' I think to myself. "Hot A-Americano please." My thoughts halt as I heard her voice. It was nearly a murmur. I looked at her and noticed that she was bowing her head as she shivered. "That's 75 pesos miss. You can sit on that corner. I'll hand you a towel immediately." I offered. "No, t-thank you. I'll just w-wait outside." And walked away. I guess she doesn't really talk to people. Working in this shop for over a year, I learned to interact with strangers and dealing with very different personalities. It's not a surprise to encounter people like that. But I especially hate the rude ones. 'I measured out the coffee beans into a double shot to make a hot americano. I have to be fast and this has to be perfect.' I think to myself after stealing a glance at her. She looked like a high school girl with the oversized hoodie. Maybe, an 18 year old? Though I never saw her face nor her hair. But with her voice, i think she looks angelic. "Jean, man the cashier for me please." I put her order into the standard paper bag and left my station. As soon as I was opening the door, I got a glimpse of her side profile. With her hair tucked inside her hood, I can clearly see her face and the tear that rolled down her cheek. Hearing the door opened, she looked at me with wide eyes and ran, forgetting her Americano. I dropped the hot cup I worked swiftly to make and froze. That girl, had way too many bruises.
