Maddox's work keeps her busy, too busy for an actual relationship. This has never bothered her since no one has managed to hold her interest... at least not until now. A Rafael Barba/original female character story. I originally posted it on AO3 under a different title (one I've never really liked) and am rewriting it as I post it here. It started from an idea I was kind of playing with and has an unconventional start, but as I kept writing I really started to like the development of the relationship, so much so, that it become the first story I actually finished. There's smut... lots of smut, fluffy bits too. I've fudged Barba's age a bit because I wanted Maddox to be in her mid twenties and a fifteen year age gap was as large as I was willing to go. It has thirty five chapters and I will work on rewriting them in between new chapters for my other stories. They need a lot of work. The first four were posted at once because that's the point I decided I liked the story enough to originally post it.

"Alright , we got a new member in our unit. Her name is Detective Ali Edwards." She took off her sunglasses to show light brown eyes and she scanned the room before her eyes matched some dark brown ones. She liked him already just by the way he looked. Dark hair swooped to the side , one earring in his left ear. He had some Hispanic heritage that she picked up right away. He had dark but some boyish charm about him that was appealing to her. Before she got carried away , she adverted her attention to her heels. "I only put the best with best experience wise . Dawson , she's your new partner." "Alright." His voice was like smooth dark chocolate. She tried her best not give away what his voice did to her. She simply crossed her ankles to push away the ache in between her legs. Ali Dawson didn't have a bad ring to it.

Update: I have the ending of this one mapped out which means it should get updated fairly regularly (this doesn't mean I won't get blocked from time to time, some chapters won't take longer than others, or that I won't get distracted by other stories... though I am currently intentionally neglecting some.) I have mixed emotions when it comes to ending this story...
