When Eleanor Rose receives a phone call telling her that her Aunt Genevieve has died after a fatal accident, she isn't sure what to think. After all, she thought that her aunt has been dead for over four years. When the caller lets her know she has also inherited her aunts old house in the small town of Scranton Texas, Eleanor packs up enough to last her two weeks and heads down to the little town to go through her aunts belongings to make sure it's ready to sell. Upon arriving, she is greeted by a few of the residents and it seems like a nice enough town. But when Anthony Bridges, a homicide detective from Dallas comes to Scranton to investigate her aunts death and several other suspicious crimes, she realizes her whole situation was a bit deeper than she originally thought. As Anthony and Eleanor start to unravel the dark secrets surrounding the seemingly normal town, they start to see a morbid truth hiding behind each of the residents ordinary façade.
