They won't be naive and hopeful like original dream. He would even pretend to be the guardian of negativity. He would rather kill the villagers then let then hurt his brother. Yet he still kinda failed and gets turned into stone but not for the reason one may think because Unknown to him nightmare notices his brother keeps getting hurt and finds out the reason for it was that they think Dream his the guardian to negativity. This end up with dream getting a protective corrupted goop of a brother. Well not what he expected but oh well at least he still has his brother. (Things will be different etc, including personality)
