Jimin is an aspiring romance author searching for a voice of his own, and a place where he finally feels understood. When Jimin stumbles across an opening for a beta reader for the famously reclusive horror author, he applies on a whim, never expecting a reply, let alone an invitation. But hiring him isn't generosity. It's strategy. Jimin thinks he's gaining a mentor. Taehyung knows he's gaining a target. Working alongside Taehyung exposes Jimin not only to the authentic world of writing, but to the man behind the terrifying stories, brilliant, magnetic, chaotic, guarded, and impossible to read. And somewhere between late-night edits, stolen glances, old wounds, and new emotions, the lines begin to blur. Because the problem with pulling someone closer just to break them is simple: somewhere along the way... you might fall, too. Some stories don't stay on the page. Some stories pull you in.... and never let go.
