The year is 3406, New Life Calendar. It's been centuries since The Fae Wars, and the Earth is plunged into another era without electricity. Continents were reshaped, countries fell and Empires rose. Faeries have been enslaved and domesticated, used for their magical abilities and the Elves are in a heated rebellion to free them. She's frail, traumatized and not even a full faerie, but after the discovery of a girl who managed to flee a Ward, two elves take Claire under their wing to see if she's got what it takes to help win against the Rhenas Empire of Men, although easier said than done with corruption, magic, and a darker force at work. [Warning: This book has both beautiful AND mature and dark themes to it! Not quite Game of Thrones level, but you certainly shall have a fair amount of dread and evil strewn throughout all the happiness I'm going to include. Anything that would be "particularly" dark will be fade-to-black, though.] All media (pictures, music) and ideological property in easter eggs, references or otherwise shown that are not specified as mine belong to their rightful owners and creators. _____ #40 out of 28.8k in #dystopian 3/12/19 #20 out of 4k in #fae 3/12/19 © Copyright 2019

"Today I met a man, and I thought he was my soulmate, but then he turned out to be a conceited, judgmental, small-minded lemon-sucking jerk." When free-spirited writer Lizzie Bennet meets handsome lawyer Will Darcy at a party, she's smitten...until she overhears him reject her as a potential girlfriend in the cruelest way. Hurt, Lizzie decides he's the last man in the world she would want to date anyway. But as the two cross paths again and again, Will proves he has a warm heart under his frosty attitude, and Lizzie must admit that her wounded pride might have made her a teensy bit prejudiced.

Siena can heal wounds with a touch of her hands. A captive since birth, she is used as a tool of war by a Plainsmen tribe. A chance escape into the forest proves successful... and deadly. Rescued by the Forestfolk--a group of people she always thought were nothing more than bedtime stories--Siena remains on edge. Trust does not come easily when persecution is all she's ever known. Keeping her abilities a secret seems like the right thing to do, until a tragic accident renders two Forestfolk spiraling toward death. If she chooses to reveal her abilities, she risks being subjugated again. Treated as no longer human. Maybe even sent back to the Plainsmen. But keeping her talent to herself means ignoring the injured around her, even allowing them to die. The choice seems obvious to Siena, but living with the repercussions of that choice is another matter altogether. A journey of self-discovery, a bit of adventure, and a splash of romance. Five teenagers who've lost everything but each other. A two-thousand-year-old king seeking revenge for a wrong committed centuries ago. A magical amulet. A prophecy from a captive mage. What would you do if you acquired a relic stolen from a king, lost your parents, and were forced to flee your home with two strangers, all in the same day? When Chad finds out he has a chance to end the two-thousand year long war that has torn his homeland apart, you'd think he'd jump at it. Right? Wrong. Wracked with guilt over a death from his childhood and crippled by grief, he stumbles along on a series of adventures with four companions bent on ending Agnir's reign. And he fully intends to assist them in saving the world without the help of his magic. But after discovering the true nature of the Amulet, an ancient relic stolen from an ancient king, it looks like he may not have a choice in the matter. He must either face and defeat his inner demons, or condemn the people of his homeland to endless tyranny. Pursued by Agnir's forces and frequently summoned by a strange old mage in his sleep, Chad finally achieves victory over himself. But can he defeat an enemy who possesses immortality? *** Any pictures I use for character or setting visualization do not belong to me unless I mention it specifically. *WARNING* I do have a scene which has a heavy theme of suicide. The chapter will be marked with this symbol: •|• and a warning at the beginning. I sincerely hope it isn't triggering to anyone, and the way I wrote it, it hopefully won't be, but just in case, there's the warning. :) *** The lovely cover is by the lovely @sarsar14 *** If you are reading this story on any platform other than Wattpad you are very likely to be at risk of a malware attack. Highest Rankings: #1 in Featured #1 in Werewolf #1 in Dragon #1 in Fantasy #1 in Adventure #1 in Action #1 in Series #23 in Romance "Lyzaria! What did I tell you about the forest?" My father scolds me sharply. I flinch at the anger in his voice and quickly retract my hand, inches from the trunk of the tree. "Sorry father, I couldn't help it. The trees are just so beautiful," I whine turning towards him. His face softens slightly and he scoops me up into his muscled arms. I wrap my small arms around his neck and bury my face into his shoulder. He hugs me tightly and carries me away from the forest. "Why can't we go into the forest?" I ask, looking over his shoulder to see the red and gold leaves slowly disappear from view as we climb the hill. "The forest is a dangerous place," he sighs. "How can something so beautiful be so dangerous?" I mutter in confusion. "The danger is in its beauty." **Cover by SodaliteSilver**
