"The main characters are from two families that hate each other, and then they end up falling head over heels for each other in one day? That's like..." Draco paused as he thought about his answer for a second. He lifted his finger and waved it in between himself and Hermione. "That's like if we fell in love," he finished. "We hate each other, it simply would never work."

Hermione Granger wasn't even sure how she ended up on her hands and knees, scrubbing floors across from Draco Malfoy in the kitchens that night. Of course, every moment in time has a series of events which lead up to it: cause and effect- not a difficult concept to grasp. Adding too much toad's eye to a burn healing potion would- of course- result in an explosion. An explosion would lead to being reprimanded by Snape and perhaps a loss of house points. But the detention was an unforeseen consequence of her forced partnership with Malfoy. Only chaos could ensue. - Opposite of a slow burn. 18+

Draco Malfoy really hates Hermione Granger. Everything he gives two fucks about is entirely contingent on the decisions that she makes and she doesn't even know it. If he's not careful, she's going to fuck it up for the both of them and then they'll all wind up dead. He never thought his life would depend on having to get between her legs and into her head. _____________________________________________ "I should have known," he said, "It's always the good girls who like it rough. Do you like it rough, Granger? Be honest," he purred into her ear, his left hand rising to wrap itself around her throat as he continued to press his right hand up against her, "I really don't like liars." con•tin•gent: subject to chance; dependent on [all rights go to jkr yuck] [not appropriate for audiences under the age of 18]
