During a mission to save a village, Itachi and Sakura realize they have feelings for each other. Bonded by battle, they have to fight for their lives. Will battle bring them together or further apart?

After abandoning her village, Sakura stumbles across a severely injured and dying, Itachi Uchiha. After spending months healing him, she learns what happened to him and why he was so close to the village. After months of training with him and growing considerably stronger, will she join Akatsuki with him?

Abandoned by her team, Sakura Haruno finds comfort and support from the most unlikely source. With growing feelings, Sakura is forced into a tense situation when her team returns four years later. She must choose between being happy or tearing a family apart. Her choice leaves a sour taste in everyone's mouth but none have the chance to try and fix it. When pushed into a corner, a rat will always bite to survive. Sakura found this out the hard way. When you bury something, you expect it to stay buried.
