YOU KNOW WE ALL WANT A HAPOT ENDING

Alternative ending to Eiji Okumura and Ash Lynx' Story. It is canon that anime and manga Ash have different endings so this is my take on it :)) I don't take credit for the characters or the original plot. I just own the plot in THIS story. Please note this isn't canon.

An alternative ending where Eiji saves Ash at the last minute before bleeding out. Since he's powerless in a wheelchair he has help, of course.

Ash Lynx who was supposed to be dead at the lonely Public library finds himself at the hospital. In fact his life has been luckily saved by his ex-trainer Blanca who conveys him the message that Eiji Okumura knows about his current state and has changed his mind regarding staying together with Ash any longer. Now it is up to Ash whether and how he could change this fate......... (A completely alternate ending to the anime Banana Fish)

"Stay by my side. It doesn't have to be forever. Even if it's just for now." After Ash's death, Eiji Okumura went on to live a long and fruitful life. For many years, he tried forcing himself to let go of his first love, but Ash Lynx never failed to escape from Eiji's life. 60 years later, Eiji crosses into death, and his heart still holds on to the boy he loved in New York City. Now, in the afterlife, Eiji searches for Ash. Could they still rebuild what life stole from them. What could possibly heal the loss and grief experienced from their years apart?

Everything is now over and everything will be back to normal. That should go for all who suffered the long time of war and pain, wins and losses, gains and loses. But Eiji is an exception. It's now time to return to his homeland, Japan. He feels a void in his heart as he boards the plane and he knows very well what can fill that void. It's that person he shared all his pains with. The only person he can't bear to lose, the only person he desires to see before he leaves. But he can't turn back now. He's made up his mind and he knows what he's doing is for the best. "Eiji." A voice rings in his ears. He knows that voice. He knows who called him and he listens to it. "I'm sorry Ibe-san but I'm going down." He doesn't want to leave and regret this for the rest of his life. He needs to see Ash right now. He needs to be with him. So he makes a decision and takes the risk. But, did he make the right choice? Or did he make a choice that will make him want to reset time and wish he never went off the plane?
