This is a sequel to The Exchange Variation. Set sometime in late 2000, Marlena and her family are recovering from the after-effects of her stint as Grace. But when Carrie disappears en route to visit with her family, it quickly becomes apparent that Stefano is once again on the loose and determined to wreak further havoc in Roman (RoJohn) and Marlena's lives. Marlena and Roman (RoJohn) are forced to play a game of cat and mouse across Europe, delving deep into Marlena's past and reliving her exploits as Grace as they race to secure Carrie's safety and determine their fates.
