Luz was living her dream at the boiling isles, she was a witch in training and had a couple of friends who she cared about and they did the same to her. However, once the duration of the " Summer Camp " Luz' Mother told her to go to is about to come to an end, all of a sudden her human problems leak into a human less world, but how will everyone take Luz' news? In Luz's and Amity's potion class, they were working on a new potion that finds the user's soulmate. As soon as the user and their soulmate figure out about the bond they are forced to stay together within the same realm within 2 miles of each other. Once one is in the opposite realm of the other they start to suffocate. They will die within 3 minutes of this separation. This potion also allows the soulmates to write to each other on their skin, but that also means that any injuries are shared too.

The only thing left behind was a letter with the words "I'm making this house worse and worse" written in it. Now, Luz attending a "Reality Check Summer Camp" was supposed to make everything better, everything normal. But after running off that bus to camp to chase after her one prized possession, her Good Witch Azura book, one thing led to another and now she had ended up in some old, isolated, and hidden town named the "Boiling Isles." Everything had changed since the death of their papá. Balancing guilt, trying to conform, broken relationships, and more, it felt impossible. There were lies, secrets, and entire lives hidden from one another, and it was only a matter of time before something or someone finally unraveled it all.
