❇️ 2018 WATTYS WINNER! The Originals category ❇️ - "The Breakfast Club" meets "Nancy Drew" in this most unusual YA Mystery. SUMMARY: Five high school students, with little in common other than being descendants of the town founders, are forced to work on a history project together. But when their history project uncovers evidence of a long-buried town secret, the kids must piece together the clues behind their discovery before its legacy comes back to haunt them. ***** Using ACTUAL, archival material (some dating as far back as 1776), The Descendants weaves a tale of mystery and intrigue, constructed entirely from real photographs, documents, and snippets of history from a small, rural town in New Hampshire. What Dan Brown did with conspiracy theories in "The DaVinci Code" and Ransom Riggs did with historical photographs in "Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children," I will attempt to do in "The Descendants," but with teen protagonists and the Cheshire County Historical Society. :-) Why? 'Cause I'm crazy like that! Yeah, I know...History?! Blah! But it actually turned out really fun! :-)

Before you ask, no, this is not a fanfic where the main character/friends get struck by lightning and get transported to another world. It's simply called this because that's what the main character's (Shuurai) name means. Plus I've got no idea how to write descriptions, so simply... enjoy! By the way, this isn't a love story, and I have no plans to make it one. Shuurai and Sasuke are best friends. Also, read the Author's Notes. I usually write the changes to previous chapters there, for people who've already read the last chapter and can't be bothered reading it again. And believe me, there are some pretty big changes. All this jabbering has probably made you lose interest in reading this story XD But still, if you want, continue.

(FORMERLY KNOWN AS TEAM EIGHT UNLEASHED) The Shinobi world is a harsh, unforgiving place. Akari Kita knows this. And yet, it's been her dream to become a Ninja, and impress her family, as well as the Clan she seems to inherit no skills from. The Kita Clan is renowned in the Village Hidden in the Leaves for their spectacular Taijutsu skills. And then there's Akari, who ends up pressed into the dirt no matter who she fights in Taijutsu. Despite this, she's determined to uphold the name of her Clan, and to be the best Shinobi she can be for her Village. But along the way, Akari discovers a tragic moment in her past that will change her view of the world forever. Everyone will be shocked, even a certain cool-headed silver-haired Jonin who just happens to take a liking to Akari. She'll face dangers and enemies, but she'll have her teammates with her. Will she survive this world, where one false move, one bit of bad information, can get you killed? Disclaimer: I DO NOT OWN NARUTO (though how freaking awesome would that be?) I only own Akari and whatever other characters aren't from the series. And I own the changes to the plot. But other than that, I OWN NOTHING.

****Winner of the Most Popular Naruto Fanfic Watty Award 2013/14**** **Currently being rewritten as the original is old and awful in this author's opinion** A coming of age story about a young Ninja, confused and hurt by the instances in her past, struggling to find her place and figure out what it all means. Can the kindness of a new Village warm a heart that time has taught to be cold and cruel? Can new friendships replace broken bonds, lost to the past? Is it safer to stay, or is it safer to run? A story not about one's physical strength, or of obtaining great power, but a story of overcoming and learning to change as old wounds heal.
