Isko comes from a supportive family, yet he struggles to find his true direction in life while facing constant bullying both inside and outside of school. His life takes a turn when he reconnects with his childhood neighbor, Maui Tj Chavez, the school gang leader. Maui, on the other hand, has a clear ambition: he dreams of becoming a doctor but lacks the financial means to pursue this goal. Every morning, he leaves for his Grade 3 class at the same school as Isko. Even though his class was dismissed at noon, he would return home at night exactly when Isko's class ended, drawing them to walk home together. Because of his intimidating reputation, Isko's bullies keep their distance from them. As they grow closer, as the world hates them... Maui protects Isko's freedom, while Isko, still uncertain of his own future, agrees to carry on Maui's fading dream of becoming a doctor. They did what they could to hold on to their dreams and hope. But everything falls apart when Isko accidentally kills a student who had been bullying him, dragging them both into a catastrophe that changes everything.
