Error Sans, being no longer an enemy of the AUs and Ink Sans, but still being able to destroy Universes has made many beings frustrated all over the Multiverse. Something else more mysterious is going on, though. Something more dangerous than Error. But the good side: The Star Sanses and their friends are working together to find a way to destroy the true enemy. Though Error could still hurt him, Ink and he have made a promise to never kill each other, and it has made them closer since. They've developed a strong relationship, but something closer than friendship. Possibly something inseparable.

The Multiverse is fragile. Even the slightest shift in the fabric of time, even the slightest wrinkle, could cause everything to disappear. If one universe collapses, so do many more. But as long as most of them are healthy, the Protector is alive. The Multiverse depends on Balance. But where no Balance exists, no Protector can live. Ink's emotions had always been kind of... spazztastic, but, sometimes, it was worse than others. Other times, he didn't feel at all. Usually, he struggled with understanding just what Error felt toward him. Honestly, Error didn't understand himself. He didn't know why he wanted to help Ink feel proper emotions without the use of those vials. He didn't know why he wanted Ink to truly be happy, or sad, or in pain, or anything like that. He just... felt like he needed to get Ink a soul. The only problem was that he didn't know how.
