Cualquiera diría que conocer a tus vecinos es lo más normal del mundo, para Hange no es así, ya que con la única persona que habla es Julie, la adorable y amigable mujer que vive a un costado de su hogar, la escuela siempre absorbe todo su tiempo, así que para ella esto es lo normal. Levi no es muy amigable que digamos, y tampoco tiene muchos amigos debido a que la escuela y el trabajo en el supermercado se lo impiden, lo más cercano a un amigo que podría tener es Julie, su vecina de junto, la misma que siempre que lo ve lo invita a comer a su casa. Ni Hange, ni Levi se conocen pero afortunadamente para eso está Julie, para que se conozcan de una vez por todas.
