She served the friendly faces of the regular customers that day. She helped others that day. She was supposed to stay with her family on that day. But she never came home. Juliette is loved by everyone. A hard working girl juggling University and shifts at the popular cafe, she works to provide for her family and take care of her sick father. Seeing hundreds of faces on a daily basis is something Juliette is used to. Old faces, new faces, you never know who you're going to meet. "All it took was one glance, one smile, one gesture to realise she is the one I want". This story will include very mature content. ⚠️

A possible future in less than 500 words, if plastic wins. This was my entry for the WattPad/National Geographic #PlanetOrPlastic competition back in late 2018. It reached their Top 10 Submissions which, given that there appeared to be well over 5000 entries, was a very pleasant surprise! The competition itself had a limit of 500 words so, for those who keep asking if I intend continuing the story, the answer (for now!) is no - unless I can find a very good reason for adding any more.
