As she tries to get rid of the nerves, Gwen prepares herself for a disaster or a perfect dance. This was first written for a competition but I got scared and these words never got to see the light of day. Few months later, I thought why not and here it is.

Alice is one of those few girls blessed with natural equestrian talent. She has just been offered to join a elite riding group. Unfortunately, moon, her horse, has fallen lame due to a jumping accident. Of course she accepts the offer, but she leaves her home horse-less. Hi. My name is Sasha Birch. My friend left me for some popular people in middle school and high school didn't work out too well let's say. My mom decided to send me to Moorland stables to "let loose and forget." I really don't want to go but apparently horses "help the human mind." (Note my sarcasm) "Wakey wakey eggs and bacey!" My mom yells loudly from downstairs, "my baby girl is going away to a far off island!" She waves her arms around and fake cries, "I have and idea! How about I don't go!" I tease, "Oh come on Sash! You'll love it there! You will get your very own horse and be able to ride whenever you feel sad! Ooh! And--" I cut her off with my hand and interrupt her daydreaming, "mom," I groan, "enough. I will go! But don't expect me to be happy about it!" She squeals and wraps me into a warm hug. 4 DAYS LATER.... "It's now or never..." I mumble to myself as one of my sneakers touches the floor of the boat taking me to Moorland stables. I look at my watch, 6:00. Here we go...
