Macaque arrived at Flower Fruit Mountain, requested by Mk. He wasn't exactly sure why he went, curiosity got the best of him. Once he arrived, a wave of disappointment fell over him as he was faced with The Monkey King himself. The feeling was mutual when it came to Wukong, but Mk vowed to fix the relationship between the two Monkey's. Wukong, done with the conversation, went into meditation. But once Macaque started to leave, Mk wouldn't allow it. The two started to fight, but due to their carelessness, slammed into Wukong. This was not the first time someone had broke the Monkey King, but to Macaque and Mk, this was a completely new experience.

A shadow portal drops a Monkie, Chris - better known as Shadow - into the middle of dire circumstances. The Lady Bone Demon has taken control, Mei has run away, and Wukong is nowhere to be found. The only option Shadow has is to turn to his brother; the Six-Eared Macaque. But even he seems to be trying to fight his own battles. What kind of mess has Shadow been thrown into now? ~ Chris is my Monkie Kid OC. The main name he goes by is Shadow, due to his similar powers to Macaque, his brother. There are a few things to know about Shadow, available in the first chapter, which is an author's note (A/N). This is my first time writing a fan fiction in the Monkie Kid universe, so bare with me if I make any mistakes on the character's behavior! The story takes place after Season Two, spoilers ahead.
