This is a collection of essays I wrote based on a tumblr post I once saw. Each colour was posed to my tumblr followers and Facebook friends as a writing challenge which included a "taboo list". The challenge was to describe each colour in its turn without using any of the seven words from the taboo list. This is the result of each of my prompts. Except for "Blue" (examples are in the introduction), each essay will end with my favorite two responses to the tumblr/Facebook challenge. Each chapter is dedicated to the first four people to respond appropriately to the prompt.
