***This is my version of what happens in King's Cage. All characters belong to Victoria Aveyard*** Mare has been taken by Maven and is locked up in a cell. He tortures her with words and by other means. She doesn't know how long she has been there, but she does know that Cal isn't coming to rescue her. She has given up all hope. Cal is desperately trying to get Mare back. He lost his father, his mother, and his brother, but he refuses to lose Mare. He is trying to come up with a plan to free her, but everything is too risky. But Cal will not just leave Mare to die. Kilorn wants to get Mare back. He needs to get Mare back. He can't survive without her. He is now taking care of her family and working with Cal and her brothers to get her back. Farley is left heartbroken. Her love was murdered and she didn't even get to say goodbye. He left her something, though. He left her with a child. Will Cal save Mare? Will Maven kill her? Or will she fall back in love with him before she is rescued? What will happen to Kilorn? (Updates every other week at least) This takes place after War Storm, so there are spoilers if you haven't finished the book. Haunted by her past, Mare tries to adjust to life after a war, only to be thrown back into more chaos. After everything that has happened previously, Mare is still trying to find herself and ends up learning more about her own mind than she had imagined. Luckily, Cal is by her side and they are ready to face all danger together.
