Josy is desperate. Right before an important meeting, her AI chip, which was implanted into her brain like to every adult at the end of the 21st century, suddenly has a malfunction. Because of the brain implant she became a successful career woman. But now that the chip has crapped out, she has to rely on her own abilities ... Such chips - brain computer interfaces - can already help people who, for example, have lost their ability to speak due to an illness. Brain chips can also be life-saving for depression (although the chips are not yet controlled by thoughts, but by a remote control). So far, communication has only been possible in one direction: from humans to machines and not the other way around. In science fiction, future developments can be anticipated.

Josy ist verzweifelt. Direkt vor einem wichtigen Meeting fällt ihr Chip aus, der ihr wie allen Erwachsenen Ende des 21. Jahrhunderts ins Gehirn implantiert wurde. Aus einer orientierungslosen 24-Jährigen wurde eine erfolgreiche Karrierefrau. Doch jetzt, wo der Chip ausgefallen ist, hat sie die Chance, ihr Leben noch einmal ganz neu zu betrachten ... Solche Chips - Brain Computer Interfaces - können heute schon Menschen helfen, die zum Beispiel durch eine Krankheit ihr Sprachvermögen verloren haben. Auch bei Depressionen können Gehirnchips lebensrettend sein (die Chips werden allerdings noch nicht durch Gedanken gesteuert, sondern durch eine Fernbedienung). Bislang ist die Kommunikation nur in eine Richtung möglich: vom Menschen zur Maschine und nicht umgekehrt. In der Science-Fiction lässt sich diese Entwicklung weiterdenken.
