Even after the thrilling conclusion of DOG FIGHTS, not everyone's story has ended. The break down of the Hidden Powers ring scared most conductors and traffickers away from participating in the area, and with their three year absence, another group began to rise. Pinners, or people who house vampires as pets in order to produce high quality flare to sell, took reigns of the city. After rescuing a vampire named Silas caged in the ruins of Hidden Powers, Chris and his friends, Jaxon and Ruby, become the targets of pinners all around the city. The only clue to their identity is the color of Jaxon's car, and Chris's leg tattoo. Silas McHenry quickly becomes the most wanted face in the city, his portrait plastered on every surface before it's finally discovered by S1. It doesn't take long before Chris and Silas are mysteriously called to a strange corner café, greeted by a less than enthusiastic barista named Leon. Not only does S1 step in to keep the group of humans out of trouble, but they also dig up hidden information about the long dead yet well known conductor, Orgon File.

Supernaturals live in the human dominated world peacefully, existing beside them and working together to live as normally as the rest do. Despite the combined power of daytime and nightlife creatures, not everyone gets along. The elite in both the human species and the supernatural world pit against each other as conductors in modern dog fights: an underground term used for forcing beasts to fight to the death for money and entertainment. Ezra has been Orgon File's prized vampire fighter for the last five years, his unexpected strength and triple digit kill count making him a champion by the time one of his fights is crashed. He is taken by a self declared street gang named S1, who introduce him back into society and grant him a team to fight beside. However, after a flurry of pastel clothing and vampire hunters, Ezra is left to address his forgotten conductor, who is determined to get him back and fighting again.
