I've been reviewing stories on Wattpad for a while now and, boy, has that been a journey. Your stories have made me gasp and squeal. Your stories have made me laugh and cry. But, from time to time, your stories have made me cringe. In commemoration of my review store hitting 100 reviews, I thought it was about time to break down my reviewing journey, with the help of a fellow reviewer, @awesomeSTG. This book will contain chapters regarding the common errors I see in stories, it will offer tips on how to make your story professional, and there will also be some sneaky rants about what people expect from a reviewer. Welcome to 101 Writing Tips from an Exhausted Reviewer, featuring two very exhausted reviewers: @ray_of_sunshine9 and @awesomeSTG. Or, as perfectly said by @awesomeSTG: Ladies and gentlemen, folks far and wide! Sharpen your quills, prepare your scrolls, and polish your fire-resistant armours, for we shall finally cool off your burning queries - or scorch you even more - with our word of wisdom (namely rants) and advice! Hear ye, hear ye! And the incredible cover is done by the very talented @g_beckford - thank you so much!

One year ago, the children of Hamelin disappeared in the middle of the night. With no clues about their whereabouts save a trail of footprints leading to the riverbank, their families believed them to be lost to the raging current. On the day of their memorial, the children return as suddenly as they left, but they are no longer the sweet kids the town lost. As the youngest person who was left behind, fourteen-year-old William is equal parts overjoyed and terrified to have his little sister back. With his father's temper as hot as his forge, William must protect Emma from the cruel treatment he has faced, but it soon becomes apparent that even greater horrors plague the children. Haunted by an alluring song that echoes in his nightmares, William must unravel the secrets of the Pied Piper's music before the rest of Hamelin falls victim to the same fate as the children. Trigger warning: This story contains physical and emotional abuse, animal abuse and death, child endangerment, suicidal thoughts, and mentions of a failed suicide attempt. Cover by @AriaOfStorms

Now a (completed) anthology of short stories, flash fiction, and hopefully quality writing. Expect to find a bereaved mother dealing with an post-apocalyptic wasteland, a hair-raising fairytale, two professional bankrobbers, the original Rick-Roller, and maybe a rubber chicken or two. And... three years later, we've reached 500 reads! Cover by @Lidlesaun. Thanks!

My eyes were literally glowing, there was no mistaking it. It was not a reflection of light, or any of the other excuses I had used or others had assumed. They were glowing a light sapphire blue color. It was not a bright glow, but it was definitely a glow. Glowing eyes were not normal. Okay, at this point I had to admit it, I was no longer normal. A stroll through a magical forest isn't really so fun when there are faeries plucking and grabbing clumps of your hair, elves attempting to set your clothes on fire, and trolls poking your vulnerable skin with their needle-like fingers. Unfortunately, Vorare has been like this for as long as anyone could remember - with creatures more of a nuisance than that of a threat. Darkness looms in every corner, and only those cunning and manipulative enough shall make it to the top. Strange tales waft around their world, and Asagai, a young thief of fourteen summers, struggles to save his old hag by venturing into the unknown in order to find some fae and garner their spittle rumoured to heal diseases. But it seems like fate has found a way to give him a detour as he travels with the slightly uncommunicative Emberchase, the weaver of flames. An organization of killers chase after their heels, a prince wants to use him for war, and the thief will soon come to realize that the man whom he pledged loyalty to isn't as what the stories had told him to be. In a place where fire is neither deaf nor mute, foxes and bears are considered magical, and princesses have a knack for hanging people, will Asagai still be able to return home? ---- Ember Chasers ---- The first book of the Vorare Trilogy. #1ST PLACE FANTASY in Moonlight Awards 2019 #2ND PLACE FANTASY in Shadow City Awards #2ND PLACE FANTASY in Love Awards 2019 #2ND PLACE ADVENTURE in Ink Awards 2020 ★Updates every Sundays

Harriet has always been the type of girl who would rather ride horses than stitch embroidery, practice her sword-fighting than practice her curtsies, and she'd rather dream about being the first female knight in all of history instead of a docile wife on some nobleman's arm. When a war between the allies of Ecrivenia and the kingdom of Carigan starts to brew, Harriet begins to wonder if it might just be her chance to become the knight she's always wished to be. Taking a chance, Harriet enlists in the King's Army, disguising herself as the red-headed, slight-figured, and quick-witted boy, Harry. However, when she is put under the charge of the handsome and strict King of Marenta, Leopold, she realizes her troubles are just beginning. Not only will she have to keep the other men from noticing she is a woman, but she will also have to put up with the scrutiny of King Leopold, the best friend of her brother-in-law. Throw in grueling training sessions, whispers of treason, and the enemy's secret weapon, Harriet suddenly finds herself thrust into the reality of being a knight in a war that might not be able to be won. ------ This is a sister novel to the first draft of Glass Slippers. The gorgeous cover is made by the amazing @solidarity_! Make sure to check her work out if you get the chance!
