They don't have anything in common except, they're both messed up. Isabella tries to escape her dark past and Axel tries to avoid it. But that seems impossible for both of them. After all, the past will always hunt you. Perhaps, that's why they were so drawn to each other after they saw each other for the first time. 𝐈𝐬𝐚𝐛𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐚, she moved from California to Brooklyn, NY because of her past. She convinced herself that New York will be her new life and everything will change from the point on. But that changed real quick when she met Axel Garcia. The 'bad boy' of the school. She heard many rumors about him one of them is that he is in the Mafia. She chose to ignore the rumors and also ignore him since he is bad news but that was difficult because he already had his eyes set on her. 𝐀𝐱𝐞𝐥, the son of Alec and Mikayla Gracia and the heir of the American & Latin American Mafia. He and his friends are well-known in New York. They are called the notorious four. After being expelled from school for one year, he and his best friends come back ready to rule and terrify people. But what Axel doesn't expect is the new girl that he somehow can't get out of his head. "What do you want?" I said with my fist clenched. I stared up at him. He looked pissed and not in the mood to argue. He leaned forward to my ear and tucked one of my hair strand behind my ear and whispered "You," I didn't have any time to respond because he smashed his lips onto mine.

On a early Sunday morning; Echo is getting ready to head to her parents house to spend the day with her family. There's a knock on the door. Echo opens it, surprised at the smiling figure of a male looking down at her. "Hi! Is Izzy here?! I have to drop off her notes!" The boys says holding up a yellow note book with Izzy's classic property tag written on it, 'Izzy Is Baby'. "She's not here right now. But you can set it on her desk over there." I say while moving and letting him pass. I close the door and walk to my bed, grabbing the CD's I bought for my younger sisters Evie. He walks to the door and turns the handle but it doesn't open. I turn around when I hear him struggling with the door. "The door won't open." He says pointing to the handle. "Yeah it's been weird the past week or two. You just have to yank on it." I say as I walk up to it to open it. But a loud static sound comes over the speakers. "Hello students of Clover University. It seems we've had a glitch in the locking system. We're not sure how long it will take to repair. So unfortunately you're stuck in the dorms until further notice. We're sorry for the inconvenience." The speakers make a beeping sound then go quiet. I sigh before throwing my bag on my bed and plopping down. I pull out my phone and call my parents, telling them what is happening and that I won't see them until they fix the issue in the system. "Well then. Guess I'm stuck with thee Echo Short!" The boys smiles joyfully before marching over to Izzy's bed and sitting down. "So you know my name but I don't know yours." I say looking at him. He chuckles. "Kai Wells! It's a pleasure to meet you!" He says happily. "Nice to meet you Kai Wells! I look forward to getting to know you buddy." I say with a faint smile before falling back into my bed and plugging in my earbuds. This is gonna be a weird... BOOK #1 IN THE SHORT SERIES (not sure when the other ones will be out or even if they'll be released)
