Sabine was her real mother, and her father happens to be a billionaire who sent her away to "protect" her after she saw her grandparents die. as if that's not enough, her class is going to Gotham, the place where Bruce Wayne, AKA Marinette's father, lives as guests for a field trip. Instead, she did what any semi-sane person like her would've done-she ran away. She ended up in Paris, with Sabine Cheng and Tom Dupain. Being the awesome sibling she was (S̶h̶u̶t̶ ̶u̶p̶ ̶D̶a̶m̶i̶a̶n̶), She kept in contact with her twin. Now, they were going to the place her Father and Brother lived for a mandatory educational trip. I quickly replied, "Likewise," And before Damian could say anything else, I added "I should probably be getting back now." "Not so fast, Marinette" Damian said, grabbing my wrist. That little- "What." I hissed, glaring at him. "Let's get to know each other better." I elbow him. He deserved it, for being an ass. "Wworth it." he said "If you don't let me go, I'll be taking your arm as a souvenir." I whispered angrily. And then Marinette received a scholarship to the prestigious Gotham Acadamy, Deciding to go there as the environment at her current school became too toxic for her. Well, That was partly the reason. She also wanted to find the Butterfly miraculous, the aura of which she last felt in Gotham. She takes an instant dislike to Damian, meets the Waynes, Lila makes a re-appearance as Volpina, and there's a new villain.
