I could not have predicted that it was exactly this, the shell I lived inside, that would one day cause Darth Vader to pull me into his world, one of deceit, violence, and...love? Even Anakin couldn't have known that he would remove the scales off of my shell, little by little, until I was standing before the Empire with nothing to hide behind. But as I stood in the light, it is the appearance of my own shadow that was least expected. It turns out, the closer one gets to the spotlight, the bigger their shadow. --- Anakin There was a time when I believed in the Jedi. For a while, I believed in the Sith, too. If a woman brought down my faith in one, I suppose it is only right a woman would bring down the other, too. But, I'm better this time. Older. Experienced. Knowledgeable. I rarely encouraged her to fight harder, encouraged her use her talents and charisma. Sometimes I even disagreed with her ideals. And it is that mistake, among many, that I will not be making again.
