This is a Chicago Fire short story about Matt Casey begging deployed out to Afghanistan with the US Army. Matts had a huge thing for the PIC on Ambo 61 for as long as he's know her. Gabby Dawson was the one girl that could stay strong after everything the Firehouse went through. Although he was, and still is, an Army Lieutenant who had been though the unthinkable, he still can't find the nerve to tell her how he really feels...Things went horribly wrong the last time he was out in service, and so when he was discharged, the fire department seemed like his calling. How will being called back into action affect him and his work colleagues, and will he ever be able to tell the woman he loves how he really feels before its to late?
