Katsuki Bakugou is a man of consistency. He finds comfort knowing that, he'll wake up at eight to be in his seat by eight-thirty, to take the seat all the way back of the classroom. He knows he'll be back home by three after cramming all he can into his head at the library, and he knows he'll be done recording his self-produced podcast by six. Katsuki's lying in bed by nine pm, teeth brushed white and skin still dewy from the shower.
So, when everything flips on its head in his comfortably average life, to say he's underprepared is an understatement. No, it's like someone handed him a grenade, pulled the pin, and said, here, hold this.
As a junior at Yuuei University in Upstate New York, Katsuki could say he's pretty used to life by now. He isn't popular, but no one hates him. He has solid grades, and shitty Deku's constantly mother-henning, calling him a hermit (he's not). His college roommate-Katsuki won't even say his name, ugh-is a no good, football playing, try-hard motherfucker who he hates with every single bone in his body.
Hating his roommate is just something that comes with being an introvert, naturally. Eijirou's popular as shit, and Katsuki hates social interaction more than anything else. And he may have a little trouble getting his words out, which most doctors would classify as a speech impediment. Katsuki just labels it as a fucking nuisance and moves on.
But a hermit outgrows its shell eventually, and through a strange series of events, Plus Ultra Studios wants to produce his podcast worldwide. This means he's going to have to deal with the Paparazzi, the fame, the interviews. Meanwhile, his dumb fucking roommate starts to make him feel like someone took a sledgehammer to his heart, and he has no clue what to do.
This is what he gets for being fucking nice.
