A small paved road in Diagon Alley leads to Potter's Herbs and Misc., where Remus Lupin buys his (surprise, surprise!) herbs and miscellaneous wizarding supplies every weekend. Only one day, he's met with a rather vexatious surprise of cigarette smoke and dreamy grey eyes waiting for him by the name of Sirius Orion Black.

After hearing those words muttered constantly in his youth, he never once doubted his parents, hanging onto every last detail that left their mouths. Believing they were always right. But starting Hogwarts changed him. Being sorted into Gryffindor changed him. Toujours Pur. Always Pure. Maybe Sirius does agree with the Black family Motto.
