[discontinued] ((DRACO MALFOY X READER)) "Hello, Malfoy." Nathaniel Greene greeted. "I was just asking (Y/n) here for a dance." He gave a smile. "Right.." he held the door as Nathaniel held his hand out to me. Draco saw the hesitation as I grabbed Nathaniel's hand. Nathaniel led me through the door and back into the ballroom, surrounded by the eyes of snobby old women and their sons that were all waiting to pounce on the opportunity to dance with me. I gulped as we awaited the previous song's end, dreading the fact that I'd have to dance with this creep, and when the song finally came... I was pulled into the middle of the floor, and I gasped loudly at the sudden jerk. Only, it wasn't Nathaniel. "Draco!" I gasped as he gave a snarky smile at Nathaniel from over my shoulder, spinning with me to the upbeat tune. "Apologies, may I have this dance?" He asked, chuckling as people gathered for the song.

Eleanor Selwyn and Draco Malfoy had three things in common: a high, pure-blood status, academic talents and Slytherin house. Other than that, they were complete opposites and hated each other. That was rather unfortunate, as the Selwyns and the Malfoys had been part of the same social circle for decades. They went to the same parties, visited the same shops and restaurants and visited each other far more than Eleanor would have liked. If it were up to their mothers, they'd already have been betrothed, but ever since birth, the two were like fire and ice. But what happens when ice gets too close to fire?
