Lizzie, the adventurous daughter of the sea, decides to visit the reclusive Mezalean Empire, against her little brother's advice. It's dangerous for her to be so far from water, but that won't stop her. Okay, maybe it will. When Lizzie wakes up weeks later in a castle, surrounded by Mezalean royalty and civilians, she isn't sure of what to do. Luckily, Joel, the son of the king and queen, is around her age, and is willing to guide her through her two week stay with them while she recovers.
