How did it come to this? Loyal to her family, her lands and her people, Théadain, the illegitimate daughter of Théoden, King of Rohan, has little concern for the world that lies beyond her familiar grasslands. When all that she loves is threatened, she must risk the position she has fought long and hard to earn, plunging herself into a conflict she never sought. As she learns of the rising darkness in far off corners of her world, she begins to realise that her fate may lead her beyond the familiar, and may entwine with the fates of others in ways she could never have foreseen. 'Where now the horse and the rider? Where is the horn that was blowing? They have passed like rain on the mountain. Like wind in the meadow. The days have gone down in the West, behind the hills, into shadow...' The title is enough description, I think. If you are a fan of Merlin, maybe even a fan of poetry, then you should give this a look. The poems are written from Merlin's perspective and we all know how broken he is in the end. Please tell me if I used the right words to express what is probably going on inside him.

Boromir and Faramir fight on the frontline to hold back the forces of the Dark Lord, but some battles must also be fought within the walls of the White City. That is where Aeardis of Tol Eressëa fights for the people and country that she loves. [highest rankings] #1 in Boromir #1 in Sean Bean #5 in Lord of the Rings

"The things we love destroy us every time, lad. Remember that." Fairies are one of the oldest race of beings in Arda -once they called Numenór home- but Arethusa watched as the sea claimed the island from the helm of a ship as the survivors fled to Middle Earth. She has wandered for several lifetimes and has seen nearly all there is. Long had she set aside her bow and sward for, in truth, a healer's hands see more blood than a warrior's. Over the years, she had grown to love the ways of hobbits and there is no hobbit she adores more than Bilbo Baggins. When her visit is interrupted by a band of uncouth dwarves and her dear friend goes running out his door on an adventure what can she do but follow? Merlin waits for Arthur. But he doesn't wait alone, not always. This is the story of Merlin's long wait, and ones who were there during it, and the ones who are there to greet him when the wait is finally over. *OMG that is a bad summary...I just wrote this after I finished the show, the ending is so bittersweet and left me so brokenhearted and emotionally confused that I just had to write something. Disclaimer: I do not own the characters or plot points directly from BBC's Merlin. I do own my additional characters, plot, and ideas.
