•This is a story based on true events about someone who is on their journey to recovery from mental illness. Their questioning of gender and sexuality. Going through relationships and break ups. Just an all about coming of age story of a person that hopefully you can relate to in someway. (There are a lot of parts, because it's in journal format, but the chapters are really short) •Trigger warning- This story mentions self harm and suicide. •All photo credit goes to @robinisyoung2 on Instagram •Follow me on Instagram @robindreamcatcher for a more recent update of my personal recovery.

Poems I've written which reflect the feeling and emotions of mental illness. For those trying to understand or just wanting something to read. Mental illness is hard to explain but I've managed to put it into words... (Some of the poems I may have already published singularly but some I haven't so anyway... hope you enjoy :) #FreeMentalIllness Ranking: #63 - poetry collection #20 - imperfection

I never thought an anxiety attack could be the best thing to happen to me. Do not read without reading part 1 first, you won't understand half of it if you do.

"Borderline personality disorder (BPD) is a serious mental illness that centers on the inability to manage emotions effectively. While some persons with BPD are high functioning in certain settings, their private lives may be in turmoil." ~~~ They say the term "borderline" came from a time when doctors used to believe the illness bordered between psychosis and neurosis. Now, they believe the illness should be called Emotionally Unstable Personality Disorder. The illness doesn't need a clear name for me to understand what it is. Because it's the nightmare I'm living every day. ~~~ [ a short story about BPD written by a human with BPD ]
