This is a series of short stories focusing on a young teenager that is trying to make a better life for himself. Hack leaves the mines and tries to find a way to live in the city. He is forced to deal with shady characters and do less-than-legal work to make his way in the world. Along the way, he makes a few friends and adds a few more skeletons to his closet.
