Camp Halfblood, Camp Jupiter and New York's Schadowhunters are all chasing the same Monster. They all met for the first time (well, Greeks and Romans already knew each other, but the Shadowhunters had no Idea Demigods existed) when they tried to kill the Monster - and failed. Since they weren't able to kill the Monster alone, Demigods and Shadowhunters decided to kill the Demon/Monster together.
