"Trouble is my middle name." ~ Lillian Nightshade is a metaphorical rock in SHIELD's boot, one that not only has a mouth snarkier and more sarcastic than the hypothetical (and entirely impossible) baby of Tony Stark and Deadpool, but has a certain knack for slipping from the authorities' grasp on a regular basis. She's arrogant, she's witty, she's satirical, she's immature and she's one of the best damn assassins in the industry. Steve Rogers is the hero every man wants to be. He has a strong sense of duty, honour, dignity and humility, with old fashioned, idealistic goals that would make the world a better place. Some - namely Stark - would call him a stick in the mud and make a mockery of him by pinning him with obscene names like 'Fourth of July Stripper' or 'Walking Flagpole', but in the end, he's America's sweetheart with a golden legacy that will last for generations. So it's only natural that the two complete opposites - who are also each other's enemies- to clash the moment they meet one another, yes? Filled with action, revenge, old adversaries, humour and of course the lovely drizzle of a bipolar romance, this is the story of how a narcissistic assassin falls for one of Earth's Mightiest Heroes. Her enemy. BOOK ONE OF THE NIGHTINGALE CHRONICLES WINNER OF MARVEL FANFICTION AWARDS 2016 IN FOLLOWING CATEGORIES: #1 Female Villain - Lillian Nightshade Best Female Antihero- Lillian Nightshade Most Motivational Character - Allison Renegade Best Developed Character - Lillian Nightshade Highest number on Fanfiction is #6 **UNDER EDITING AND CONSTRUCTION** ** I do not own any Marvel or comic characters. My Parent have been dead for a while now, but when the lawyers had finally gotten round to the discussion of where I'd live, they just handed me an envelop and an address. Not bothering to read either i was drove to a building that looked like it practically touched the sky. The name I was instructed to ask for was Reed Richards, whoever that was, imagine my shock when i found out that my "Guardian" was Mr. Fantastic!!! I nearly fainted at their door! Living their was a different WORLD, Ben was terrifying, Susan was both warm and cold, and Johnny was H-O-T. Turned out that Reed actually brought back whatever-the-heck it was that they got infected with and me always wanting to have super powers just 'happened to coincidentally' wonder into his lab and find it....and the rest is history (so was most of the lab). Now I just hope I get to control my powers before I destroy New York City...that is, if Reed ever lets me out of the Baxter Building first!!! *Marking this as completed FOR NOW because while the story isn't over, it's stopped at a relatively satisfying place till I am one day able to continue and sprint across the finish line!*

"I need help." ~ For years, she's been a pawn in their game. They've been using her to get what they want, using her as little more than a tool. And she's been clueless to how far they've actually gone. Lithium has no idea how extensive their manipulation truly was. That is, until she met the captain in her quest to find the Winter Soldier once he's vanished from Hydra's repertoire. With the help of the man she's idolized for years, the man she attempted to shape her life after and gave up everything she had to emulate, Hydra's blinders are removed. And the world has become a dangerous game of give and take. In her attempts to find a new place, not quite unable to let the old one slip away from her just yet, she stumbles across another man. The one she'd been unwittingly sent to find, the one she likely would've caused to get killed: James Buchanan Barnes. The Winter Soldier. Neither Steve Rodgers nor Bucky Barnes is aware that she knows both. At least, neither knows for now. But in this game of push and shove, Lithium is learning quickly who can cause pain, and who can take it away. She's learning who to run to and who to run from. The question will eventually become something she never thought she'd have to answer, something she'd never contemplated before: would she rather be the painkiller, or let him be the painkiller for her? This fanfiction takes place after Captain America: The Winter Soldier
