Luffy dreads the day he'll meet his soulmate. Law can't wait for it. Or, That one soulmate LawLu au, where the thing your beloved loves most about you is written on your skin. A soulmate was someone you had a natural affinity for. Someone that'd compliment you and feel deeply connected to, they were like another part of your soul. Law didn't want something like that. Wasn't sure he deserved to have it. Who would want someone like him as a soulmate?

The last thing he remembered was watching the sun fade behind the ocean and the sky go from blazing orange to a dark and deep blue. When the last bits of day disappeared from the horizon, he'd closed his eyes. And when he opened them, he choked on the water in his lungs. Or, in which the Straw Hats face a massive defeat before reaching Raftel and just when Luffy thinks he's about to die, he finds himself drowning instead. This is a modern time based fanfiction. The characters don't act like themselves a lot in the book especially luffy, He's not as childish anymore.
