Instead of killing Fireheart immediately, Tigerstar decides to do something much, much crueler. He takes Cloudpaw hostage and threatens to kill him if Fireheart doesn't do what Tigerstar says. The corrupt leader makes Fireheart into an apprentice again and appoints himself as his mentor.
