Peter takes a step forward. Breathes. Peers down to the busy streets, trying to ignore the steady pounding of his heart, drowning and drowning his mind's cries. He's tired. He's so, so tired. At first he and May had each other's backs until May decided that life was too painful to do sober and alone so she took to drinking and dating not very good men. May also starts to hate Peter because of how much he looks like Ben. Peter gets his first glimmer of hope after becoming Spider-Man and the Stark Internship. But between school bullies, May, and his own demons will Peter ever find true happiness and feel like he belongs?
