Harry didn't know what to do. On a late night flight to London, Harry meets a blond boy. Well, more like a blond boy falls asleep on his shoulder and Harry thinks he's really cute. Draco didn't know what to do. On a flight that was much too late for his taste, he falls asleep on what could possibly be the most attractive guy he's seen in a while. On that same flight, Harry and Draco find out that they go to the same school. Harry Potter, a loving kid with a very loving family was diagnosed with cancer when he was 15 now he's 16 and is a happy little thing. Draco on the other hand had gone through stuff. He does drugs because it's the only "support" he can get but when he meets Harry he realizes that the little, cute, sassy Harry Potter IS his new drug.

While the wizarding world were led to believe that Harry Potter was treated like a prince, the reality was much worse. It was a shock for Draco to realise the other 11 year old in Madame Malkins' wasn't simply uninterested in him, but couldn't speak. He was even more shocked to discover that this child was none other than Harry Potter, someone he had been expecting to be as cocky as Snape had told him James was, not this small, shy, mute boy. From that moment on, Draco swore to himself that he would protect the smaller of the two, even if his parents disagreed with his decision.

He's always known they didn't really care. After all, who would care about someone like him. Even so, he didn't think they would take things that far. He had overheard them discussing his approaching death. They planned on him dying during his fight with Voldemort, and them taking is fame and fortune. They had already begun draining his vaults. They have been feeding him love potions to make him fall in love with Ginny so she would inherit everything when he died. Dumbledore has put him with the Dursley's in hopes he would be abused and come to Hogwarts eager to please the one who 'saved' him. When he was beaten nearly to death the summer after his fifth year by his uncle, he escaped and went to the house on Spinners End he had heard of only briefly during a conversation with Sirius earlier that year. He knew that the man would be the only one to not report straight back to either Dumbledore, or Voldemort. The man was completely unaware of his true relation to the boy, and he planned to keep it that way. He didn't plan to stick around long anyway, just long enough to get to safety. Things weren't supposed to turn out like this, but things tend to get out of control for the boy who lived, and he didn't know where else to go.
