Emily Prentiss and Aaron Hotchner are best friends. They have been really close for a long time, always being there for each other. Their close friendship already scared away many potential partners for each of them, but they always chose their friendship over a relationship to someone else. But little do they know that not only amicable feelings exist between them. (Hotch is divorced from Haley, she is alive and Jack appers as well)

Two years after leaving the BAU in order to work at Interpol, Emily Prentiss returns to Quantico. She soon learns that time doesn't exactly heal all wounds and that some feelings just don't go away. [AU: Haley & Jack don't exist in this story.]

When Emily Prentiss is invited to her cousin, Anna Freemont's wedding in Oregon, she is expected to bring her perfect, loving boyfriend. Only, Emily's perfect, loving boyfriend doesn't exist.
