A Ninjago AU : A Rewrite of "The Gold Fire AU". Nya Smith grew up in a remote rice growing village with her elder brother, Kai. They lived a peaceful life until the day an old man showed up at their blacksmiths shop, for not long after, tragedy struck when a group of living skeletons calling themselves the Skullkin showed up and attacked the village. Turning peoples homes upside while looking for an old map, they decide to kidnap her brother in their retreat. Now, desperate to get her brother back, she agrees to follow the old man to his monastery to train in the art of spinjitsu and become a ninja. All in the effort to take down Lord Garmadon of the Underworld and save her brother. Along the way, she meets her teammates. Cole, the black ninja and a flirt, Jay, the blue ninja and stoic to a fault, and Zane, the white ninja and full of trust issues.
