A bullied girl meets the popular new student. ***** "Still saying that you're perfectly okay?" Max whispers. I'm surprised to hear that his voice is shaking. "I'm going to find who did this to you." ***** One time, I was the most popular girl in school. All the students in Royal Heights, the school of the richest, knew me as the pretty Luna Klein, daughter of a famous superstar and a well-known billionaire. But the next thing I know, I'm an outcast. Just because of a complicated thing called love, everything turns 180 degrees. Now, I'm the girl that everyone hates. I've lost all my friends. I've lost my best friend. And I've lost the guy that I adore. All I can do now is to ignore the bullies and to survive each day quietly, hoping that I don't attract too much attention like before. Everyone in my school starts to call me loony Luna. Or lunatic, their favorite nickname. Then he suddenly arrives. Max Cooper, the new student who just got here from Australia. Insanely good-looking and smart, topped with his impressive family background, Max easily becomes everybody's favorite, especially the girls'. Disastrously, of all the other things he can pick, Max sets his eyes on the most forbidden and despised thing in Royal Heights. Me. Even though the whole school hates that idea. But pushing Max away is like trying to tame a wild lion that has just been released from its cage. Max is unstoppable. My mother once said that if a guy is really into you, he will pursue you no matter what. I think I know now how it feels. I just don't know how to handle my heart. Because every time his piercing eyes land on me, I feel like my heart is going to burst out of my chest. ***** THE KLEINS SERIES BOOK #2 © 2021 Anya Jayvyn. All Rights Reserved.

Highest in Werewolf: #2 "Selene, my daughter, please hear us out. I know we don't deserve it, but your sister is pregnant and-" I held up my hand to stop the man named Benicio Dixon from speaking. Surely they didn't call me here just so they can dump all their personal problems onto me or dig up the past. If that was the case, they're quite foolish. I'm not interested in the slightest. Shifting my attention from my father to the woman he stood behind, my gaze narrowed on the small but visible bump under her sundress. Hestia Anne Dixon. My younger sister. The Luna of my old pack and the woman my mate chose over me. She was pregnant. I turned to the male sitting beside her in the Alpha's seat. Guilt and regret crossing his striking features when he refused to meet me in the eye. "If the reason you called me here is because of this nonsense" I gestured between my sister and mate, "Then it would appear I wasted my time. With all due respect, Beta Dixon, I am an Alpha. I have many and much more important things to do than discuss petty mate bonds. If It wasn't obvious enough, I'll make myself clear-" I stood up, not caring for the gazes burning into my skin. "Whether or not she has this pup has nothing to do with me. Luna Walker's mate has nothing to do with me. In fact, none of you have anything to do with me outside of pack business. If you're worried about my interference-- don't. I won't say nor do anything. To put it simply, I don't want him. I didn't want him for the past four years since he rejected me and you all left me to die. Rest assured that seeing him again won't change anything. Now if you'll excuse me, I have things to attend to." I held my head high, walking off with my Beta trailing behind me. Just as I reached the door, it abruptly pulled open and I came face to face with the most beautiful man I've ever seen in my life. Dark, crystal grey eyes bore into me and I found myself go still. Don't cry. Don't cry. You're stronger than that. He's not worth it. He's not worth those tears. I took a deep breath and blinked my eyes rapidly as I made my way out of the office. Kyle was over there smiling in victory and when his eyes met mine, he smirked coldly at me. This time I could hold my tears in as they fell from my eyes. As Kyle's eyes followed the trails of tears down my cheek, his smirk slowly dropped. He looked taken aback and his gaze softened. I shivered in anger and disgust at him. I cant believe I just let him see me cry. I speed walked out of the cafe's door. As I started to hail a cab, a hand grabbed my arm and turned me around. "What do you want, Kyle? Haven't you done fucking enough?" I screamed at him. "No, I--" "Are you happy now? Satisfied, yet? Huh?" I shouted at him as I repeatedly jabbed my index finger at his chest. "Kyle, This might be just some game to you but to me it was my only chance of survival." I paused, my voice husky from all the screaming and my tone laced with sadness, "And you just came and blew it away." I say as another tear escapes my eye. "Avery--" He gives me a pained expression and raises his hand to touch my cheek but I slap it away. "Don't fucking touch me!" I screamed and then said "You think that you're so high and mighty, don't you?" I croaked out in a sarcastic tone and the tears repeatedly trailed down my face. "Well someday you'll lose the one thing that you've treasured most and then you'll regret everything you've done." "But by then, it'll be too late because it'll be all gone." I finish and get in the cab as I wipe the tears running down my cheek. ☆☆☆☆☆ Actual summary of the book inside.
