At Zaun University, two brilliant students, Jinx Lane and Ekko Bennet, are locked in a fierce rivalry for the top spot in their class. Jinx, the eccentric and rebellious mechanical engineering genius, currently holds the number one rank, with Ekko, a calm and calculated robotics prodigy, close behind in second. Despite their intense competition, they are also roommates, constantly at odds but unable to ignore the growing tension between them. As their rivalry intensifies, so does their unspoken attraction, leading them to grapple with feelings they never expected to have. Surrounded by friends and a strict uniform code, Jinx and Ekko must navigate their complex relationship, all while trying to stay at the top of their academic game at Zaun University.

Being married to Powder is often just as much of a full time job as running the Firelights. When you add in the fact that they have three triplet daughters that all take after her? It's a wonder Ekko stays sane at all. Powder's been working herself too hard, and Ekko tries to help take some of that pressure away from her, leading to a brief reprieve from the busyness of life. This is my interpretation of what would have happened if certain events never occurred in the show Arcane! This is just something for fun and does contain spoilers directly from the show! The art in the cover is mine and I make more based off this fic that I post on my other socials!

After the fire, what if Jinx and Ekko stayed in touch and faced their trauma together instead of growing up alone? And what if, despite the brutality that drives them apart, they fell in love, and they kept finding their way back to each other? This is a romantic, angsty, violent AU set during the time skip and then it weaves into Act 2. There's lovers-to-enemies, enemies-to-lovers, and redemption. Also layered with lots of shenanigans and smutty, cuddly goodness. Preview: When Ekko feels her warmth against him, it's as if nothing else matters. Or at least that used to be the case. He tries to ignore that soon they will be on opposite enemy lines again. Soon, one of his friends will face the barrel of her gun, and he can't bear to see any more friends die. But damn it, he doesn't want to keep thinking about that. He grounds himself in the moment, trying to meet his lover in dreams more peaceful than their reality. I had recently finished watching Arcane and in Episode 7 I enjoyed watching the fight between Ekko and Jinx, it was a little bit sad to see two childhood friends fight. And I absolutely love their relationship, so now I'm doing one shots.
