Everywhere he goes people spit venom at him. He didn't choose this life, neither did his mother want this. As part of his plea deal to keep him from going to Azkaban, he has to finish his eighth year at Hogwarts. Lucky him. The two meet on the train, somehow getting into a nice talk about everything.
