With his new job, he's supposed to become a teenage heartthrob, every girls dream. Troye could get any girl he wanted, really. He could take advantage of anyone with his bright blue eyes, but he doesn't want to. Troye wants to be a musician, singer specifically, but locked down in a contract that permits him from taking outside jobs can shut that dream down.
