!DISCLAIMER!
This is a work of complete fiction that loosely references elements of The Burning Sun case that took place in South Korea. For those who are concerned with the ethicality of this story: I want it to serve as a reminder to be wary of the people we're idolising, to remember that idols can be terrible people. No victims or victims' families are mentioned, by name or otherwise, and Hyunjin and Bangchan are part of the good fight against the mystery man at the head of the club: Seungri. The sole references to the case are through the name of the man in charge and the sex-trafficking charges Seungri faced. May all the victims find the justice they need and deserve.

"Sorry about that, I don't like creeps."
"Yeah, well, I don't like murderers."

Sparks fly when a mafia boss, Chris, and a stripper, Hyunjin, meet. Chris' interest is immediately piqued by the dancer, whereas the latter sees him more as a murdering psychopath.
But when the time comes for them to dig deeper into The Golden Light, the club Hyunjin works at, they decide to work together in close quarters, much to the stripper's chagrin.
Cold at first, the pair's then neutral partnership warms into something else, something that could get them killed.
When so much is at stake, will they crumble to ashes or burn brighter than a phoenix?
