Life really does suck for Nathaniel. With a minimum wage job as a helper for a librarian and two dead parents, his life is just piles and piles of bad events. He's practically a nobody, having no signs of luck with love, money, appearance, generally nothing. Nathaniel pushes his way through survival. But life doesn't cut him some slack even after all that. Oh, no. The unlucky boy finds himself being targeted by the world's most feared mafia after he breaks into his workplace during a night shift, a mafia who can make anybody submit with the snap of his fingers, the glare of his piercing eyes that can make the strongest people tremble like a puppy. [BxB] Waking up next to someone after having a little too much to drink was no new, riveting story in this day and age. Waking up next to another boy, when you were also a boy, was a little more interesting, but still nothing to write home about. But waking up in Nico Beckett's sheets? To Wesley, it was a nightmare come to life. ~~~ Wesley Dillon's life was uneventful, and frankly, he liked it that way. He didn't get into trouble, he kept his grades up, he played it safe. He never did anything to rock the boat he was floating in, the calm waters of his lake left undisturbed. Now starting his last year in high school, Wes was content to continue living his life as he always has - but sometimes, and only sometimes, he caught himself wishing that something could make ripples in his tiny world.
