She knows this is a child's dream but refuses to let go of her main ambition. To write stories. When she reads she forgets her lonely life and is transported into another world, a world where she attends a school of magic, a world where she travels to OZ, a world where she is special. Once day when she visits her local book emporium she picks up an interesting looking book. A book which the shop owner Mr Bellevue says is second hand but it looks a lot older than that. The girl reads the book and get transported into another world, a world where she has to stay until she stops turning the pages and the story ends.
