Sometimes a witch or wizards magical signature is so completely incompatible with another that they repel one another like magnets. On the other hand, if two magical signatures mesh well together, well there are no stronger relationships in all the world. Answer: a coveted Transfigurations advanced study position, Minerva Mcgonagall's surprising fondness for him, thestrals, tea with Hagrid, tutoring Harry Potter, Granger and Weasley's excessive PDA, and the perplexing nature of sleight-of-hand double-dates with Harry, Luna, and Ginny. And then, of course, there's righteously indignant (if misinformed) Weasley, Draco's own insecurities and flair for dramatics, and a long-suffering Kingsley Shacklebolt. If I can work in tie-switching and Great Hall relationship reveal I will, because those are some of my very favorite tropes.

Convinced by Hermione to get a new pet, Harry goes to Magical Menagerie and finds it's now owned by Draco Malfoy who has changed since the war... in a good way, a really good way.

The war is over. Lord Voldemort defeated, the 7th years have been invited back to repeat their final year at Hogwarts school.
